Dr. Lawrence Davidson, will discuss his thoughts on 1917 and Imperialism, 1945 to 1948 and the New Equalitarianism, The State of Israel and the Zionist view of the Arabs, and Palestine and Our Future.

Dr. Lawrence Davidson , was a Professor of Middle East history at West Chester University in Pennsylvania. He taught there for 27 years retiring as Professor Emeritus in 2013. He is the author of five books including Islamic Fundamentalism, originally published by Greenwood Press in 1998 and subsequently reprinted twice. He is also the author of Culture Genocide, published by Rutgers University Press in 2012. He has travelled widely through the Middle East, and he has met many of the principal leaders involved in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. Professor Davidson maintains a blog, www.tothepointanalysis.com, which appears worldwide, and through which he continues to advocate for Palestinian rights and independence.

Said Arikat is a Member of the Palestine Center Committee, and the Washington bureau chief for the Palestinian newspaper al-Quds, a daily for which he is a writer, columnist, and analyst. He previously served as spokesman and director of public information for the United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq, and currently teaches as an adjunct professor at American University in Washington, DC.
