On a speaking tour in the US to address the incarceration of Palestinian children and the situation of Gaza, Yousef Aljamal sheds light on this serious subject. He is joined by activist Miko Peled.
In this film, independent journalists Max Blumenthal and Dan Cohen capture the assault on Gaza during the 2014 war and chronicle its horrific aftermath. Besides documenting Palestinian resilience and suffering, Killing Gaza also documents the war crimes committed by the Israeli military through direct testimony and evidence from the survivors, delivered often just days after escaping indiscriminate shelling, bombings and summary executions.
Author Jana El-Hassan talks about her book, The Ninety-Ninth Floor that was shortlisted for the International Prize for Arabic Fiction 2015. The story unfolds between the 1982 massacre at Sabra and Shatila in Lebanon and life in the city of New York in 2000. It follows the struggles and triumphs of Majed as he makes it in Manhattan at the turn of the century, after surviving the devastating 1982 massacre at the Sabra and Shatila refugee camp.
Rifat Audeh, one of the survivors aboard the Mavi Marmara, combines footage shot aboard the Freedom Flotilla with subsequent media coverage, to show how the dead activists and their comrades who defended their vessels were portrayed. The film reveals what really happened and how it was spun in traditional and online media outlets.

Ahed Tamimi, a 16-year-old Palestinian child from al-Nabi Saleh village who was detained during a pre-dawn raid on her home by the Israeli army and border police in the occupied West Bank, is the latest addition to the hundreds of Palestinian children languishing inside Israeli prisons. Tamimi’s story is not an isolated incident; it is a story that represents the oppression Palestinians endure living under Israeli occupation and Israel’s complete control over Palestinians’ lives.
Israeli forces detained a teenage Palestinian boy who has been missing part of his skull since December, when he was shot in the head by an Israeli soldier during a protest against the occupation of his West Bank village. The boy, Mohammed Tamimi, 15, was one of 10 Palestinian residents of the village of Nabi Saleh arrested in a pre-dawn raid’
Bursting into a schoolteacher’s house in the middle of the night, soldiers sicced their dog on him. The dog bit him and held on, as his family looked on, horrified.It’s not an easy sight to look at. His wife shows us the photographs on her phone: his wounded arm, battered and bleeding, mauled and mangled, scarred along its entire length. The same with his hip.
Abed al-Fattah Yusri al-Sharif was killed. In the style typical of Israeli aggression against unarmed Palestinians, he was first wounded after allegedly attempting to stab an Israel occupation soldier in the occupied city of Hebron. He lies on his back, his arms stretched across the road, and his head moving about. A soldier confers with his superior officer, before moving to “confirm the kill” – a term used by the Israeli military in reference to field executions of Palestinians.

The US has repeatedly tried to portray itself as an “honest broker” of peace between Israelis and Palestinians, but actions speak louder than words. Allowing US citizens to participate in Israel’s occupation and oppression of Palestinians blatantly contradicts this self-proclaimed title.
