Photographer Andrew Courtney showcases the African Palestinian community of Jerusalem which lies in the heart of the Muslim Quarter of the Old City. African Palestinians continue to be active in the resistance process for the Palestinian national struggle and many have been political prisoners in Israeli jails. Others are active with the Palestinian Authority.
Here at the Gallery we are (hopefully) saying goodbye to the sweltering summer heat (though since our air-conditioner has been repaired things have been much more bearable!). With the advent of autumn, energy returns to the city and we look forward to a lively season of art that teaches your mind and touches your soul.
Through educational events, humanitarian support, and cultural preservation, the Jerusalem Fund is helping build the movement for Palestinian liberation.
