Over a year has passed, and the suffering of Palestinians has only deepened with escalating atrocities. In Gaza, over 43,000 lives have been lost in the ongoing genocide—70% of them women and children. The violent displacement, ethnic cleansing, and land dispossession are part of a broader historical trajectory that dates back to the Nakba.
While Gaza faces the fastest death rates in recent memory, widespread starvation, the largest population of child amputees, and unprecedented destruction, Palestinians in the West Bank are also enduring relentless attacks. Israel has also launched a military campaign on Lebanon, claiming the lives of an average of three children daily over the past months. In these challenging times, The Jerusalem Fund remains strongly committed to supporting Palestine and its people.
Through our educational program, the Palestine Center, we aim to educate the American public and policymakers about Palestine, reaching and impacting hundreds of thousands worldwide. Located in Washington, DC, the Palestine Center amplifies Palestinian narratives, culture, and intellectual contributions, serving as a hub in the fight for justice.
Amid the ongoing humanitarian crises in the region, our humanitarian efforts persist through the Humanitarian Link and the Palestine Diabetes Institute. The Humanitarian Link provides critical support to hospitals, orphanages, clinics, schools, academic institutions, and civil society organizations in the occupied territory and surrounding refugee camps.
In 2024, your generous contributions enabled The Jerusalem Fund to award grants to numerous local organizations in Palestine, helping to sustain vital initiatives on the ground. As the year ends, the challenges remain immense —violence, displacement, and the erasure of Palestinian identity will continue, even if the bombings cease.
