The Jerusalem Fund, a 501(c)(3)-registered non-profit organization based in Washington, D.C., announces a position available as Program & Communications Manager. The Program & Communications Manager leads and facilitates programs for the smooth and efficient functioning of the organization and its events. PROGRAMS
- Organize programs and activities, proactively monitor progress, and troubleshoot where necessary.
- Manage projects, events, and activities from conception to completion.
- Propose new activities/events to support the organization’s programs.
- Facilitate and follow up with all aspects of the internship program.
- Prepare program reports and contribute to quarterly staff reports.
- Coordinate event planning, including working with audio-visual equipment
- Oversee all aspects of event planning (from set-up to clean-up).
COMMUNICATIONS
- Plan, manage, monitor, and design content for publications and informational materials for the website and social media sites.
- Regularly update the website and social media sites, review data analytics, and report visitor trends.
- Prepare and disseminate weekly round-up reports, commentary on Palestine news and articles, and regular e-mail blasts to ensure the ongoing promotion of events and activities.
- Review, document, and edit photos and videos.
- Coordinate and monitor outreach, including updating contact lists
- Prepare bi-annual detailed media activity reports.
- Manage the main e-mail account of The Jerusalem Fund as well as the events e-mails and respond to communication-related issues in a timely manner.
Provide any additional support, including administrative support, as requested by the Executive Director.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree with two or more years of experience preferred.
- Attention to detail, ability to understand and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent software/web skills (Microsoft Office, HTML, WordPress, etc.) and overall comfort with technology are required.
- Experience using multiple social media platforms is required.
- Event coordination experience
- The ability to produce publications using Microsoft Publisher, Adobe, etc., is required.
- Must have good knowledge of the Palestine issue.
- Motivated, creative, and organized.
- A professional and friendly demeanor, punctual, responsible, and working effectively with a team.
- Strong spoken and written English skills. Arabic language skills are an advantage.
