The Jerusalem Fund presents a screening of Grandmothers Share Their Stories: Palestine followed by a discussion with director Peggy Fleming and producer Nada Nassereddin.

The film brings viewers into the homes and memories of three Palestinian grandmothers, Claudette Habesch, Zuhdiyeh Abu Ghoush, and Fawziyeh Al-Kurd, as they reflect on their lives across the last eighty years.

First interviewed in Palestine in 2009, and then again on Zoom in 2025 as the project reached completion, these women offer deeply personal testimony on family, memory, place, and the resilience of Palestinian life across generations. The conversation after the film will also open onto larger questions of oral history, preservation, and what it means for memory to survive through voice, family, and lived experience.

As part of Nakba Week, this evening speaks to something central to The Jerusalem Fund’s work. We are committed not only to educating the public about Palestine, but also to creating a space where Palestinian history can be encountered through the people who have lived it and carried it forward.

We hope you will join us for a meaningful night of Palestinian cinema and dialogue.
