Dear Friends,
This year, Ramadan begins as Palestinians across historic Palestine face another season of dispossession, displacement, and uncertainty. In Gaza, vast areas remain in ruins and families struggle daily to find food, water, and basic care. In the West Bank and Jerusalem, raids, checkpoints, and settler violence disrupt life and weaken already fragile institutions, while Palestinian communities inside Israel live with entrenched inequality, land confiscation, and chronic underinvestment in services.
In this context, The Jerusalem Fund is expanding its Ramadan Emergency Appeal for Palestine. As an independent 501c3 nonprofit institution in Washington, DC, the Fund supports vetted Palestinian-led and international organizations on the ground. Through its Humanitarian Link program, it focuses on practical essentials: food assistance, medical supplies, support to clinics, and emergency aid to families most at risk. The Palestine Center and Gallery Al-Quds continue our educational and cultural work.
Within this broader effort, two long-term commitments remain central. The Palestine Children’s Fund is a designated fund that supports Palestinian children and youth through relief for families in hardship and educational and community programs. The Palestine Diabetes Institute operates clinics in the West Bank that provide specialized care and education for people living with diabetes.
The overall situation continues to deteriorate. International agencies warn of severe, and in some areas catastrophic, levels of food insecurity; access to healthcare and education remains sharply limited; and many families have been displaced more than once. Without sustained, flexible funding, organizations on the ground will be unable to maintain current assistance or respond to growing needs across Palestine.
The Jerusalem Fund’s role is to ensure that contributions are used efficiently, transparently, and exclusively for humanitarian purposes. Every dollar designated for this Emergency Appeal is restricted to relief work in Palestine—whether for urgent food and medical aid, child-focused programs through the Palestine Children’s Fund, or chronic-disease care through the Palestine Diabetes Institute—and is disbursed through partners with demonstrated capacity and accountability.
This Ramadan, the Fund invites supporters to help strengthen this lifeline. A one-time gift will help expand immediate distributions of food and essential supplies; a recurring monthly donation will provide partners with the predictability they need to plan beyond the current emergency and to accompany families as they work toward recovery.

Contributions to The Jerusalem Fund are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Gifts of every size matter and go directly toward providing urgently needed aid and support where it is needed most.
Thank you for continued concern and solidarity.
Sincerely,
