Mouin Rabbani is a researcher, analyst, and commentator specializing in Palestinian affairs, the Arab-Israeli conflict, and the contemporary Middle East. He has previously served as Principal Political Affairs Officer with the Office of the UN Special Envoy for Syria, Head of Middle East with Crisis Management Initiative/Martti Ahtisaari Peace Foundation, and Senior Middle East Analyst and Special Advisor on Israel-Palestine with the International Crisis Group. Rabbani is Co-Editor of Jadaliyya and Contributing Editor of Middle East Report. At Jadaliyya he edits the Quick Thoughts feature and is host of the Connections podcast.
Helena Cobban, a long-time researcher and author on Palestinian affairs, is the CEO of Just World Books, proud publishers of Refaat Alareer’s anthology Gaza Writes Back, Laila El-Haddad’s Gaza Mom, and other fine books on Palestinian and global affairs. She’s the President of Just World Educational and co-host (with Yousef Aljamal) of its PalCast podcast. She currently writes mostly at Globalities.org.
Dr. Edmund Ghareeb is the Senior Scholar at the Palestine Center. An internationally recognized expert on the Middle East, Kurds, Iraq, and media issues, Dr. Ghareeb was the first Mustafa Barzani Scholar of Global Kurdish Studies at American University. He taught at George Washington University, as well as the University of Virginia, Georgetown University in DC and Qatar, and McGill University. He is the author of 12 books on topics such as the Gulf War, Kurds, Iraq media, the new media revolution in the Middle East and Arab world, and US media coverage of the Middle East.
