Dear Friends of The Jerusalem Fund,
2021 is quickly concluding, and has been an historic year for many reasons. Every year, the story of Palestine reaches new ears, and supporters of the Palestinian struggle increase. Moreover, resistance against dispossession in Jerusalem, hunger striking prisoners, Gazan resilience and protests against settlement expansion continue to be common elements of Palestinian resistance.
In addition to these countless challenges, a global pandemic has impacted Palestine in ways different from other countries. Wearing masks and keeping safe distances may fight against COVID, but they do not offer any relief from occupation and blockade. As a matter of fact, the occupier deliberately utilized its control over Palestine to hinder vaccine distribution and delay implementing protective measures.
Nevertheless, The Jerusalem Fund remains a tireless sponsor of many educational, infrastructural and healthcare projects that bring relief and catalyze development in Palestine. And we have been able to achieve these great strides, thanks to the immense generosity and kindness of our donors. Since 1977, we have been awed by the solidarity of our community, which continues to grow. And at no time has their support been more pivotal than throughout the last two years of the COVID-19 pandemic. Thank you for being a part of our resolute mission.
Now, we have the opportunity to continue diversifying our programs and expanding our impact. A simple gift of $10, $20 or $30 makes a great difference in the lives of Palestinians facing economic hardship, hunger and health difficulties. Larger donations, in an amount of your choice, will contribute to propelling more sustainable and longer-lasting community and educational projects.
Every dollar you donate is 100% tax-deductible to the extent of the law. And you may decide the fund to which you’d like your support designated.
We wish you and your loved ones the happiest of holidays and a new year of health and prosperity.
