Invisibly Present/Visibly Absent By Sam Husseini

Invisibly Present/Visibly Absent, at Gallery Al-Quds.

Wednesday September 2 at 3 pm EST.

Sam Husseini is an artist and writer who makes connections between art and politics, seeing “layers of lies” in the political realm and “layers of beauty” in art and nature. His complex artwork incorporates leaves, flowers and even  actual snowflakes, along with man-made objects, to  explore the  power of  nature and the perils of environmental depredation.  Scheduled to open before the Covid 19 pandemic, the exhibition is even more relevant now, with a virus that is Invisibly Present and Visibly Absent.  You can read more about Sam and the exhibition in the online catalog, here

In-person tours of the exhibition will be offered on a on a limited, physically distant, appointment-only basis later in September.
