Washington, D.C. (March 3, 2008) – The Palestine Center welcomes Mr. Ali Abunimah as its non-resident fellow. Mr. Abunimah is an expert on Palestine, the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and is the author of One Country: A Bold Proposal to End the Israeli-Palestinian Impasse.   

Mr. Abunimah co-founded The Electronic Intifada, an online publication about Palestine and the Palestine-Israeli conflict, Electronic Iraq and Electronic Lebanon. Abunimah has lectured on Palestine at universities and other forums in North America and Europe. His articles have appeared in The Chicago Tribune, The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, The Financial Times as well as several English-language Arab newspapers.

Mr. Abunimah holds a B.A. from Princeton University and an M.A. from the University of Chicago.

The Palestine Center awards two six-month fellowships annually. Fellows produce expert and specialized studies on various issues pertaining to the Palestine question and the Middle East.
