The rich cultural heritage of Palestine is apparent in the traditional
dress, jewelry, and embroidery of the Palestinian people. For more than
25 years, Mr. Saleem Fahmawi, chief of the Palestine and Decolonization
Section of the United Nations, has worked to assemble a rare and
beautiful collection of textiles and artifacts from Bethlehem, Jenin,
Nablus, Gaza, Jericho, and other areas representing the diversity of his
native land.
